As the Editorial Design Associate your primary focus will be to oversee the visual presentation of all our editorial content. You will work closely with the design team, combining graphic design skills and an understanding of editorial processes to deliver exceptional visual designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop unique concepts, graphics, layouts and visuals for editorial tasks
  • Maintains consistency in layout design and brand guidelines
  • Ensure that designs are optimized for both digital and print formats
  • Work closely with the art director, content writer to understand editorial design needs and set
    design direction.
  • Plan concepts by studying information and materials
  • Provide editorial designs for the company and clients on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Coordinates release and processing of files at printer and press
  • Assists the entire team for creative thinking and brain storming sessions
  • Manages utilization and archive of all project photos
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops and reviewing professional
    publications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for growth and
    improvement
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Art, Design, Creative Multimedia, Advertising, Media or related field.
  • 5 years’ proven work experience.
  • Proven editorial design experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics that demonstrates editorial design thinking and core skills on a “Behance” or “Dribbble” account
  • Knowledge of editorial design principles, elements, workflows, page layout and composition
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc.)
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Ambitious self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Socially conscious and interested in contributing to the development of the country.
